My friend was asking some advice yesterday about his mortgage situation because somehow, his mortgage payment scheme has suddenly changed and he just can’t afford the new rates that the mortgage company is asking. I told him to go for a mortgage loan modification so he wouldn’t have too much problem with it and he could continue using his house without thinking of getting evicted. I told him to get an experienced mortgage law attorney to examine his loan documents for any potential violations. I also told him that he needs a complete written life of loan history to see all of the possible phony charges and fees included in their mortgage balance. I also told him to make sure that any inflated appraisal or loss of property value is calculated into the workout. As of this moment, he is looking for a good mortgage law attorney and I’ll be hearing from him in a couple of days I guess. I just hate it when mortgage companies decide to change their payment schemes without giving proper advertisements and all the things that they think of is how they can get more money without thinking of the people that they will be stepping on.
